Garage Door Repair in Las Vegas

When your garage door stops working, you need someone who shows up fast, diagnoses the actual problem, and fixes it right the first time. Not someone who sells you a new door when you needed a $20 part.

Real Garage Door Pros is a licensed, bonded, and insured garage door repair shop based in Las Vegas. Owner David Zion has spent more than 13 years in the industry, and our trucks are fully stocked so most repairs (springs, cables, openers, rollers, sensors, tracks) get fixed the same visit. No return trips. No "we have to order that part." No pushy upsells.

24/7 emergency dispatch. Free onsite estimates. Same day service across Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Summerlin, Boulder City, Spring Valley, Enterprise, Paradise, Sunrise Manor, Whitney, and Pahrump.

The Most Common Garage Door Problems We Repair

About 90% of our repair calls fall into one of these six categories. If any of these sound like what's happening with your door, call us. Most are same-visit fixes with parts we already carry on the truck.

Broken springs

Symptoms: Door won't open, loud bang heard recently, door feels unusually heavy when lifted by hand, visible two-inch gap in the spring above the door.
Urgency: High. Stop using the door.
Typical fix: Replace both springs as a matched pair (torsion or extension).

Snapped or frayed cables

Symptoms: Door hangs crooked, one side drops, cable visibly loose or dangling, door won't fully close.
Urgency: High. A fully snapped cable can cause the door to fall.
Typical fix: Replace both cables, inspect drums and rollers while we're in there.

Off-track door

Symptoms: Door is visibly tilted, jammed, or pulled away from the tracks. Often follows a car bump or a cable failure.
Urgency: High. Don't try to force it back, you'll bend panels.
Typical fix: Realign the door, inspect and straighten tracks, replace damaged rollers.

Opener problems

Symptoms: Opener hums but door doesn't move, remote unresponsive, lights flash but no action, sensor misalignment errors.
Urgency: Medium. The door usually still works manually, but you're losing convenience.
Typical fix: Depends on the issue, could be gear kit, logic board, capacitor, sensors, or remote programming. Most are same-visit fixes. We service all major opener brands including LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, and Marantec.

Noisy operation

Symptoms: Grinding, squealing, popping, or banging every time the door moves. Often worse in cold morning starts.
Urgency: Low. But ignoring it leads to bigger repairs.
Typical fix: Replace worn rollers, lube tracks and hinges, rebalance springs, and check for loose hardware.

Remote, keypad, or sensor issues

Symptoms: Remote stopped working, keypad dead, door won't close unless you hold the wall button, sensors blink red.
Urgency: Low to medium. Safety sensors that won't let the door close are a fast fix but mission-critical.
Typical fix: Realign sensors, replace batteries, reprogram remotes, swap keypad if needed.

If your situation doesn't fit any of these, call anyway. We've been doing this long enough that there's very little we haven't seen.

Why It Matters Here

Why Garage Doors Fail Faster in the Las Vegas Desert

Las Vegas is among the hardest climates on garage door systems in the country. Five reasons your door needs more attention out here than it would in a temperate climate:

1
Extreme heat cycles.
A garage can hit 140°F on a summer afternoon and drop 70+ degrees overnight. That thermal stress expands and contracts every metal component in the system daily. Springs, cables, and hinges fatigue faster. Openers see their logic boards fail from heat exposure.
2
UV and radiant heat.
The sun punishes the door itself, especially south- and west-facing doors. Paint fades, weather seals dry out and crack, and the metal panels warp if the door isn't insulated.
3
Desert dust.
Fine particulate gets into every moving part. It strips the oil off springs, works into roller bearings, clogs sensor lenses, and accelerates wear on the opener's drive chain or belt.
4
Builder-grade parts in boom-era homes.
Most Las Vegas homes built 2005-2015 used the cheapest spring, roller, and opener options the developer could source. Those parts weren't engineered for desert conditions and tend to fail in years 4 to 7.
5
Heavier doors, higher duty cycles.
Las Vegas homes trend larger than the national average. More two- and three-car garages. Heavier doors mean heavier springs, harder-working openers, and more stress on every cycle.

We calibrate every repair for Las Vegas conditions, including using Real Pro Springs, our powder-coated, high-cycle spring rated for 25,000+ cycles specifically because standard springs don't hold up here.

Honest Framework

Repair or Replace? Here's How We Decide.

Some calls, a repair makes total sense. Others, we'll tell you straight that replacement is the better long-term call. Here's the framework we use:

SituationUsually RepairUsually Replace
Broken spring on a door under 10 years old
Bent panel from a minor car bump(single panel)
Multiple panels bent or rusted through
Opener is less than 10 years old and failing
Opener is 15+ years old, chain-drive, failingbelt-drive upgrade
Door is single-layer steel, uninsulated, in a hot garageinsulated upgrade
Door is wood and showing desert cracking/warping
Track is bent but panels are fine
Door is 20+ years old with multiple issues stacking up
Sensor, keypad, or remote issues
Water damage, major rust at hinges and rails

When we give you an estimate, we'll tell you the repair cost, the replacement cost, and our honest recommendation on which makes more sense for your specific situation. You make the call. We just want you to have the real numbers.

How It Works

Our Repair Process

We've tried to make this as painless as possible.

1
Step 1. Call or text.
(702) 600-9317. Live answer during business hours, 24/7 emergency dispatch.
2
Step 2. Same day dispatch.
Most Las Vegas valley calls get a truck on site the same day. We give you a real ETA when you call, no vague "sometime this afternoon" windows.
3
Step 3. Diagnostic and free estimate.
David or a vetted tech arrives with a fully stocked truck, inspects the door end-to-end, and gives you a firm, written quote before any work begins. The estimate is free. No pressure.
4
Step 4. The repair.
Most repairs take 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on scope. We replace what's broken, rebalance the door, cycle-test everything, and fix anything else we notice that's about to fail (we'll tell you first, nothing gets done without your approval).
5
Step 5. Walkthrough.
Warranty paperwork, workspace cleaned, honest handshake. That's it.
The Honest Talk

When We'll Tell You NOT to Repair

Here's something most garage door companies won't put on their website: sometimes, repair is the wrong answer.

If your door is 20 years old, has three systems failing at once, panels rusted through, and an opener older than your kids, we're not going to pretend a $600 band-aid makes sense. We'll show you the repair number, show you the replacement number, and tell you why replacement wins on that specific setup.

Same thing goes the other way. If a competitor told you that you need a whole new door when it's actually a $250 cable fix, we'll tell you that too. We'd rather do a small job and earn the referral than inflate a quote and burn the relationship.

That's the "no upsells, no gimmicks" promise, in practice.

24/7 Dispatch

Same Day and Emergency Garage Door Repair

Garage doors don't break politely at 10am on Tuesday. Most of our emergency calls come in on weekends, late evenings, and during the worst of the summer heat.

We dispatch 24/7 across our full service area for emergencies, no "we'll try to get there tomorrow" runaround. Typical emergency scenarios:

  • Door stuck open overnight (security concern)
  • Door stuck closed with your car trapped inside
  • Spring or cable failure before an early-morning departure
  • Commercial door failure blocking storefront or bay operations
  • Door slammed shut and now the opener won't work
